Montfort Private Technical Institute
Montfort Private Technical Institute was started by the Montfort Brothers to give employment training to poor Anglo-Indian boys of Alandur and St. Thomas Mount. In the year 1964, at the invitation of the late Archbishop Most Rev. Dr.Louis Mathias, Rev. Bro. Zephrin came to Madras to start Montfort Private Technical Institute at Alandur. The Building and the installation of Machines were completed by 1969.

I am happy to take over as the fourteenth principal of Montfort Private Technical Institute as the Institution heads towards its Diamond Jubilee in 2024. After more than two years of havock played by Covid 19 I now have an uphill task before me but, by the grace of God I am sure that I will live up to the task, I hope to improve infrastructure and also introduce more courses from the coming academic year.

Electronics Mechanic
While mechanical engineering deals with the moving parts of any machine or system, electrical engineering involves the creation and application of equipment.
Electrician
Electricians install, connect, test and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including lighting, security, communications and electronic controls.
Machinist
Machinists use lathes, milling machines, and other machine tools to produce precision metal parts. Many machinists must be able to use both manual and CNC machinery.
Welder
In a broad sense, a welder is anyone, amateur or professional, who uses welding equipment, perhaps especially one who uses such equipment fairly often.
CNC Training
Operators who have completed CNC training have learned to program a computer with code based on designs and blueprints.
Tig & Mig
MIG (metal inert gas) welding uses a feed wire that constantly moves through the gun. TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding uses long rods to fuse two metals directly.
